- 1 pound chopped broccoli florets and stems , about 6 cups
- 3 cups vegetable broth
- 2 cups chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese , grated, 3 cups
- 2 ounces cream cheese , cut in small pieces

I don’t have an immersion blender. Will a regular one work?
Hi Lisa, yes a regular blender will work but you have to let the soup cool a bit before putting it in the blender. You should not put hot liquids in a blender, so be sure the soup has cooled a bit first. I would also recommend, if using a regular blender, to puree the soup in small batches. Happy cooking!
