Fire up the grill, it’s burger season! We’ve waited a long time for this warm weather to finally arrive and we deserve Bruschetta Burgers With Crispy Prosciutto, don’t ya think? Crispy prosciutto combines with sundried tomatoes and ground beef to make the most flavorful burgers! And just when you think these burgers can’t get any more flavorful we add in a Lemon Basil Aioli and top it all with a Bruschetta Topping bursting with fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and beautiful heirloom tomatoes. Your taste buds will be doing the happy dance with every bite! Add red pepper flakes if you dare to add some heat!

Bruschetta Burgers With Crispy Prosciutto combine ground beef with sundried tomatoes and crispy prosciutto for the most flavorful burgers! Add in a homemade Lemon Basil Aioli and top it all with a Bruschetta Topping bursting with fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and beautiful heirloom tomatoes. for a burger recipe for weeknight dinner or entertaining.
- 2 cups chopped heirloom tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. chopped basil leaves
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp. white balsamic vinegar
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, optional
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. minced basil leaves
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
- 3 ounces sliced prosciutto, chopped
- 1 lb. ground beef
- ¼ cup chopped sundried tomatoes
- 4 hamburger rolls
- 4 green leaf lettuce leaves
- Combine chopped tomatoes, garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, vinegar, kosher salt and, if desired, red pepper flakes. Let stand.
- Combine mayonnaise, minced basil and lemon zest. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat grill for direct heat grilling.
- Heat medium nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook chopped prosciutto until crispy, stirring occasionally; let cool.
- Combine ground beef and sundried tomatoes. Reserve 1 heaping Tablespoon crispy prosciutto and stir remaining crispy prosciutto into ground beef mixture. Shape into 4 burgers.
- Grill burgers to desired doneness, turning once.
Brush cut sides of rolls with Lemon Basil Aioli. Top bottom of roll with lettuce, burger, Bruschetta Topping, reserved crispy prosciutto and top of roll.
