What is a substitute for balsamic glaze?
Balsamic glaze is available in most grocery stores. If you cannot find it you can make a simple Balsamic Vinaigrette concentrate to use as the drizzle. Just combine 2 Tbs. olive oil, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar, 2 tsp. Dijon mustard and 1/2 tsp. sugar until blended and serve with your burgers!

- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes packed in oil, patted dry and chopped
- 2 Tbs. chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 4 slices fresh mozzarella
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 to mato slices
- 8 large fresh basil leaves
- 2-3 Tbs. balsamic glaze*
Preheat grill for direct heat grilling.
In bowl combine ground beef, sundried tomatoes, chopped basil leaves, garlic powder, kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
Grill, turning once and topping with mozzarella during last 2 minutes of grilling time. Grill until cooked through or until meat thermometer reads 165F.
Serve burgers on buns and top with tomato slices, fresh basil leaves and drizzle of balsamic glaze. Serve with additional balsamic glaze if desired.
