If it’s apple season it must be apple cider season too! The rich intense spiced apple flavor of cider transports me to crisp autumn evenings with visions of falling leaves, pumpkins and bushels and bushels of red, green and golden apples.
I’d say the timing is right to put a fall spin on your sangria with our apple sangria.
When the seasons start to change, let our cider sangria be your go-to cocktail.
We combine seasonal apples and apple cider with sweet white wine, brandy and sparkling soda for a festive fall cocktail.
That delectable spiced apple beverage, also known as sweet cider and soft cider, is the official state beverage of New Hampshire.
And as if apple cider isn’t delicious enough on it’s own, it transforms into amazing festive deliciousness when made into our easy apple sangria.

- 1 (750ml) bottle Barefoot Refresh Sweet White or Pinot Grigio
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1 cup applejack brandy
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 red and/or green apples, cored, chopped, about 4 cups
- 2 cups lemon lime soda

In large pitcher combine Sweet White wine, apple cider, applejack brandy, vanilla and chopped apples. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Just before serving add lemon lime soda and ice.
Makes 10 cups sangria PLUS chopped apples.
