If it’s Friday….and it’s summer….. it must be time for Swirls’ Happy Hour! I’m a fan of a cool refreshing beverage on a hot summer evening. Actually, who isn’t? While strolling through my farmer’s market this week I became inspired!
I was drawn to the beautiful bright red color of sweet juicy raspberries and the flavorful scent of lush basil and just couldn’t resist! My mind went right to Happy Hour……a jigger of vodka and a cold refreshing splash of lemonade……seasoned with my newly purchased raspberries and basil. Raspberry Basil Lemonade Vodka Punch…..I’m puckering already! Cheers!

Raspberry Basil Lemonade is bursting with the summertime flavors of lemonade, fresh raspberries, fragrant basil leaves and a splash of vodka! An easy recipe for happy hour on a warm summer evening, picnic or barbecue!
- 2 lemons, sliced, divided
- 1 cup fresh raspberries, divided
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- ice cubes
- 5 cups lemonade
- 1 cup raspberry vodka *

In bowl combine slices from 1 lemon, 1/2 cup raspberries, basil leaves and sugar. Using end of wooden spoon, muddle together until fragrant and juices begin to appear.

Transfer mixture to pitcher with ice cubes. Add lemonade, vodka, remaining lemon slices and raspberries. Serve with straws.
Makes 6 cups.
*Prefer your lemonade without alcohol? Just substitute 1 cup additional lemonade or raspberry flavored lemonade for the raspberry vodka!
