With the steamy hot days of summer arriving it’s time to cool things off a bit so I’ve combined the flavors of a BLT in a refreshing chopped BLT salad recipe. Simply toss bacon, lettuce and tomatoes in my homemade mayonnaise salad dressing and you’ll be tasting BL&T in every bite…..and you’ll be staying cool as a cucumber!

- low fat mayonnaise
- sour cream
- fresh chives
- fresh dill
- apple cider vinegar
- garlic powder
- kosher salt

In small bowl combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, dill, vinegar, garlic powder and kosher salt. Stir until blended.
In large serving bowl toss chopped lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bits and half of salad dressing until evenly coated. Serve with remaining salad dressing.
Makes 6 cups tossed salad.
Yield: 1 cup salad dressing.
