What else can I use a coffee rub on?
Our coffee rub recipe will also taste delicious on:
- brisket
- chicken
- flank steak
- London broil
- pork
- rib roast
- spare ribs and baby back ribs
Substitutions
- Prefer a milder flavor than espresso? Use instant coffee in place of the instant espresso powder and the flavor will be slightly less intense but still have a ton of flavor!
- You can make this recipe with your favorite cut of beef in place of boneless shell steaks. Good choices for steaks are rib eye steak, sirloin steak, petite sirloin steak and strip steak.
- Light brown sugar can be used instead of dark brown sugar but will give you a milder flavor
- Regular paprika can replace smoked paprika, however, you will not get that smoky flavor note
- Instant espresso power can be replaced with instant coffee power for a milder coffee flavor
