A twist on the traditional taco, our taco bread recipe will make a delicious addition to your Taco Tuesday menu lineup.
All of your favorite taco ingredients are baked in a crusty bread that will soon become your favorite way to eat tacos.
Ground beef is flavored with taco seasoning, a diced tomatoes and green chilies blend and tomato paste for a taco filling that’s loaded with fabulous flavor.
Cheese is sprinkled in the hollowed out bread loaf halves and baked then topped with the beef filling and more cheese and baked to cheesy goodness appears!
Slice our easy baked tacos into 4 pieces and serve as a hearty dinner.
Or if you prefer, cut the stuffed taco bread into 12 smaller pieces and serve as a taco appetizer at your next gathering or movie night.
So delicious with a refreshing chilled margarita cocktail!

- Up the heat and add fresh jalapeno!

- Heat oven to 400F.
- Cook ground beef and 2 Tbs. taco seasoning in a large skillet until beef is browned.
- Stir in diced tomatoes & chilies and tomato paste and simmer until beef is cooked through.
- Hallow out bread halves and sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese and bake until cheese is melted.
- Top cheesy bread with beef mixture and remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake until heated through.
- Combine sour cream, 1 tsp. taco seasoning and lime zest for the Taco Lime Sour Cream topping.
- Slice, top with Taco Lime Sour cream, tomatoes, scallions and cilantro leaves.

- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 Tbs. taco seasoning
- 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies
- 2 Tbs. tomato paste
- 1 loaf French bread , halved lengthwise, about 12-inches long
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese ,divided
Taco Lime Sour Cream:
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. taco seasoning
- 1 tsp. lime zest
Toppings:
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/3 cup chopped scallions
- 2 Tbs. cilantro leaves

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Meanwhile, heat a 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef and 2 Tbs. taco seasoning until beef is browned, stirring occasionally.
