Ground beef is flavored with taco seasoning, a diced tomatoes and green chilies blend and tomato paste for a taco filling that’s loaded with fabulous flavor.

Cheese sprinkled on ground beef and then baked in oven with cheese melted!
Cheese is sprinkled in the hollowed out bread loaf halves and baked, then topped with the beef filling and more cheese, and baked until melted cheesy goodness appears!
Slice our taco bread into 4 pieces and serve for dinner or cut into 12 smaller pieces to serve as an appetizer at your next fiesta or movie night.

- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 Tbs. taco seasoning
- 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies
- 2 Tbs. tomato paste
- 1 loaf French bread , halved lengthwise, about 12-inches long
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese ,divided
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. taco seasoning
- 1 tsp. lime zest
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/3 cup chopped scallions
- 2 Tbs. cilantro leaves

Preheat oven to 400F.

Meanwhile, heat a 10-inch non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook ground beef and 2 Tbs. taco seasoning until beef is browned, stirring occasionally.

Stir in diced tomatoes & chilies and tomato paste and simmer until beef is cooked through and mixture is thick and saucy, about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Hallow out bread halves and sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese.

Arrange on baking sheet and bake until cheese is melted, 5 minutes.

Remove bread from oven and fill with beef mixture. Sprinkle with remaining ½ cup shredded cheese.

Return bread to oven and bake until heated through and cheese is melted, 5 minutes.

Combine sour cream, 1 tsp. taco seasoning and lime zest.
