It’s easy as pie to show your love when you use refrigerated pie crust and make our Nutella Stuffed Cookies. Just unroll pie crust, press the heart cutter, top with Nutella, crimp and bake into our sparkly nutella hearts!

Nutella Stuffed Cookies

Make our Nutella Stuffed Cookies with sparkling sugars and share the love! Shape and bake them into Nutella-filled hearts with red and/or pink valentine sugars for a fun and delicious Nutella recipe!

Nutella, the beloved creamy decadent chocolate hazelnut spread, is nestled in the center of a bite size sugared heart and baked to perfection. And it’s “easy as pie” to show your love when you use refrigerated pie crust!

How to make pie crust hearts

Step by step photos to make nutella stuffed cookies

Cut pie crust into hearts. Fill with nutella. Crimp to seal.

Follow these steps to make our sweet nutella hearts:

  • Unroll refrigerated pie crust
  • Using a heart cookie cutter, cut out heart shapes
  • Place a dollop of nutella is center of half of the hearts
  • Top with remaining hearts
  • Crimp with a fork
  • Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar sprinkles
  • Bake and enjoy!

  • Add a dollop of peanut butter to the filling
  • Use red and/or pink sugars
  • Make with different color sugars for other holidays such as:
    • purple, yellow and green sugars for Mardi Gras
    • green and red sugars for Christmas
    • red, white and blue sugars for July 4th

Ingredients
  • 1 pkg. (15 ounces) refrigerated pie crust
  • 8 Tbs. chocolate hazelnut spread , such as nutella
  • 1 Tbs. milk
  • red sugar sprinkles
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. On lightly floured surface unroll one pie crust.

  3. Using a 2-inch heart cutter, cut out 24 hearts.

  4. Arrange hearts on baking sheet and place 1/2 teaspoon Nutella in center of hearts.
  5. Unroll remaining pie crust and cut out 24 more hearts.
  6. Brush edges of hearts on baking sheet with cold water and top with remaining hearts. Using a fork seal edges.
  7. Brush tops of hearts with milk then sprinkle with sugar sprinkles.
  8. Bake 12 minutes or until edges and bottoms are golden. Serve warm or cool on wire rack.

Makes 24 pie crust hearts.
