Everyone needs to have a Best Ever Chili Recipe in their dinner line up that can be on the table in about 30 minutes on those busy weeknights. It’s been said that people typically make the same recipes over and over again, week after week. I’ve heard this to be true and since that’s the case, you must add this Best Ever Chili to your dinner line up! What Toppings Go With Chili?
If you’re anything like me, your chili toppings are so very important! Some of my favorite toppings that go with chili are:
- Black olives
- Corn chips, like Fritos!
- Picante sauce
- Queso fresco
- Red onion
- Salsa verde
- Shredded Cheese
- Shredded lettuce
- Sour cream
- Tortilla chips, crushed, of course
What Side Dishes Go With Chili?
So once you pile up your toppings on your bowl of chili, you may want a side dish or two to round out your meal.
Perhaps while your chili is simmering you might want to sip on a cocktail. Jalapeno Cucumber Margaritas are a twist on the classic margarita cocktail. Spicy jalapenos and refreshing cucumbers flavor a margarita mixture lending the perfect balance of heat and coolness to our easy margarita recipe.
Cheesy Jalapeno Cornbread is as quick and easy to make as it is beautiful and yummy! Start with a corn muffin mix with a few stir-ins, top with jalapenos, scallions and cheese, pop in the oven and in minutes you’ll be ready to serve up a mighty fine cornbread!
A salad is always a good accompaniment with any dinner. Make it simple and just toss romaine lettuce, cucumbers and radishes, or just lettuce, with our Chili Lime Vinaigrette for a refreshing side dish. Trust me when I say, Chili Lime Vinaigrette will have your taste buds dancing. The fresh tangy flavor of lime combines with a hint of chili spice in your soon-to-be favorite homemade vinaigrette!
Maybe it’s been a long day and you need to have a homemade dessert tonight too. Chipotle Brownies, an easy homemade brownie, is the way to go. With a creamy chocolate ganache on top and a hint of spice inside Chipotle Brownies will be the sweet treat that completes your chili dinner!
