    The holidays are a time to serve extra special recipes. Turning traditional Thanksgiving stuffing into cute muffins will definitely elevate your holiday menu to fun status!

    I’m sure these apple muffins will be on your menu year after year! You can guarantee that the kids will definitely eat the stuffing this year! 

    You’ll have lots of fun eating your stuffing as muffins this Thanksgiving. It will be hard to remember that you’re eating apple stuffing when it’s shaped into a cute muffin.

    Oh, and don’t forget to drizzle your “muffins” with gravy and let the party begin with this easy side dish recipe!

    How to make stuffing muffins

    • prepare our stuffing recipe
    • shape into muffins in a muffin tin
    • bake ahead and serve at room temperature OR pop in the oven just before dinner and serve hot

    Can apple stuffing muffins be made ahead?

    Yes, you can make the stuffing muffins ahead and refrigerate in the muffin tin until you are ready to bake them.

    Remove muffin tin from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature. Then bake as directed in the recipe below.

    You can also bake the apple muffins and then store them in an airtight container until you are ready to reheat them.

    To reheat homemade stuffing muffins, either place them in a muffin tin or on a baking sheet and reheat in the oven.

    • Add dark raisins or golden raisins
    • Use your favorite stuffing mix
    • Generously spray your muffin tin with cooking spray so the apple muffins release easily
    • Use holiday cupcake liners for s festive touch!
    • You can use lower-sodium chicken broth if you prefer

    Substitutions

    • Substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth
    • No fresh sage? Substitute 1 teaspoon dried sage for the fresh sage
    • Add chopped pears in place of the apples

    Apple Sage Stuffin’ Muffins

    Studded with chunks of apples and flavored with fresh sage, Apple Sage Stuffing Muffins are delicious and fun to eat too! An easyrecipe for Thanksgiving, a homemade stuffing mixtureis shaped like muffins and baked in the oven.

    Ingredients

    • 6 Tbs. butter
    • 2 apples, cored and chopped, 2 cups
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup chopped celery
    • 1 Tbs. chopped fresh sage leaves OR 1 tsp. dried sage
    • 6 cups cubes stuffing mix
    • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    • 3 eggs , lightly beaten

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
    • In large non-stick skillet melt butter over medium-high heat.
    • Cook apples, onion, celery and sage until just tender, about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Remove from heat and stir in stuffing mix and broth, stirring until mixture is completely moistened. Let cool slightly then stir in beaten eggs.
    • Press mixture into prepared muffin tins, mounding up on top and dividing evenly.
    • Bake 25 minutes or until set.
    • Let stand on wire rack minutes. Loosen stuffin’ muffins around edges with a sharp paring knife and remove. Serve warm or at room temperature.
