- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9″ x 5″ loaf pan.
- In a bowl combine mashed bananas, butter, eggs, brown sugar and vanilla until blended.
- Stir in flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt until just combined.
- Stir in ¾ cup chocolate chips.
- Transfer batter to prepared pan. Top with sliced banana halves and remaining ¼ cup chocolate chips.
- Bake 1 hour 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Taking bread out of the pan sooner might cause it to fall apart.
- Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
- Slice and enjoy!
