Chicken Street Tacos
If you’ve been around Swirls for awhile now then you know that I love, well maybe I’m obsessed with, creating taco recipes.
Chicken Street Tacos is my most recent recipe creation and it won’t disappoint!
Taco seasoning combines with lime juice to flavor the chicken. I let it marinate about 1 hour and then grill the chicken to perfection.
If you’re short on time, simply combine the taco seasoning and lime juice and rub it on the chicken, skip the marinating time, and head right over to the grill and cook it up.
I do recommend marinating the chicken if you have the time though. The outcome will definitely be more flavorful and delicious.
Toasting up the corn tortillas in the skillet adds a depth of flavor. You’ll be happy you did!
The chicken in my street tacos is chopped but you can just as easily shred the chicken with two forks and make shredded chicken street tacos.
Feel free to toast the corn tortillas ahead, wrap in foil, and reheat on the grill while the chicken is cooking.
Every bite of our Chicken Street Tacos is filled with flavorful marinated chicken, red onion, cilantro and fresh jalapeno slices.
The simplicity of this chicken street tacos recipe is what I especially love. Bright clean flavors and grilled chicken make every biteful a little taste of Mexico.
Of course, feel free to add a fresh tomato salsa, maybe a dollop or two of sour cream and guacamole and a bed of shredded lettuce.
Be sure to serve with lime wedges for a bright citrus drizzle.
Any way to make it, street tacos will soon become your new favorite taco to savor.
