- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cherry cola soda or coca cola soda
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 Tbs. soy sauce
- 2 Tbs. cornstarch
- 2 Tbs. minced garlic, about 6 large cloves
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 Tbs. chopped cilantro
- 24 slider rolls or 12 burger rolls
Arrange chicken in bottom of slow cooker.
Combine brown sugar, black cherry soda, vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring until blended. Pour over chicken.
Cook 7-8 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high.
Shred chicken and stir in cilantro,
Serve on slider rolls or burger rolls.
Makes 6 cups shredded chicken.
