Swirls of Flavor Recipe Tips
- Serve this dip in a bread bowl
- Smoked gouda cheese will give this dip smoky notes
- Add canned chopped jalapenos for added flavor
Substitutions
- You can substitute Monterey jack cheese for the cheddar cheese
- You can use gouda cheese in place of the mozzarella cheese
- You can omit the mayonnaise and use more sour cream in its place
- Turkey bacon can be used in place of the bacon
- Real bacon bits can be substituted for the bacon pieces to save time
Storage
- You can store any left over dip in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap or the top to a bowl, for three to four days.
- As always, I find it helpful to visit the FDA website for food storage guidelines.

Chris
Gwynn, I assume you prepare the dip then follow the bead bowl recipe (and pour the baked dip into the bread bowl?) or after the bread bowl recipe, add the dip ingredients and bake according to dip recipe?
GG
Hi Chris, If you want to serve the dip in a bread bowl, you toast the bread bowl first to prevent the dip from making the bread soggy, and then proceed with the recipe by putting the dip in the bread bowl to bake together. Hope this makes sense now! Happy cooking, GG
