    Valentine Sugar Cookies

There’s no better way to show someone your love than baking up homemade cookies especially when you dress them up with chocolate and sprinkles.

Everyone will love a sweet treat of Valentine Sugar Cookies and these homemade cookies are crispy with golden edges.

Typically sugar cookies have baking powder in them to give them a chewy texture. Our homemade sugar cookies are made without baking powder to give them their crispy texture. Cookie texture is so much of a personal preference, isn’t it?

These cookies bake to about 3-inches in diameter, but you can make them smaller for cute bite size sugar cookies. Just be sure to keep an eye on them as they bake and bake them for less time than the recipe below calls for. Bake them until the edges are golden.

You can dip your cookies in your favorite melted chips. Milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, bittersweet chocolate chips and even white chocolate chips will all add a layer of sweetness and texture to the cookies.

The choice is yours. I did a combination of semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips and I love how the contrast of the two chocolates look together.

Actually, if you know me well, you know that I’m a Libra and have difficulty making decisions (a typical Libra trait). So I couldn’t decide on only one type of chocolate chip and ended up using two kinds. Sorry not sorry, because they look great together.

What do you do for Valentine’s Day? I love making valentine baskets filled with a special gift and lots of edible treats. Packing homemade cookies in a decorative cellophane bag tied with a pretty ribbon will make everyone feel special and loved.

So go ahead and bake up some love. With just a few basic ingredients your homemade sugar cookies will bake up into crispy deliciousness. then dip them in one or more melted chocolate chips, add Valentine sprinkles and Valentine Sugar Cookies become a festive treat for those you love.

I guarantee your valentine cookies will put smiles on faces!

    Cookies For Kids Fundraiser

    Good Cookie logo

I’m so excited to participate in this Valentine’s event again. This is the sixth year for our event and we want to continue to make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer.

Cancer is the #1 cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. The National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%. It’s such a small number and that’s why I got involved.

And with the ongoing pandemic, children are still being diagnosed with cancer. It’s imperative that we raise awareness and continue to raise funds to fund the ongoing pediatric cancer research!
