With just a few basic kitchen ingredients and holiday sprinkles, you will fall in love with our homemade Valentine Sugar Cookies. Dipped in melted chocolate and decorated with colorful sprinkles, these crispy cookies are Valentine perfection.
Valentine Sugar Cookies
There’s no better way to show someone your love than baking up homemade cookies especially when you dress them up with chocolate and sprinkles.
Everyone will love a sweet treat of Valentine Sugar Cookies and these homemade cookies are crispy with golden edges.
Typically sugar cookies have baking powder in them to give them a chewy texture.
Our homemade sugar cookies are made without baking powder to give them their crispy texture. Cookie texture is so much of a personal preference, isn’t it?
These cookies bake to about 3-inches in diameter, but you can make them smaller for cute bite size sugar cookies. Just be sure to keep an eye on them as they bake and bake them for less time than the recipe below calls for. Bake them until the edges are golden.
You can dip your cookies in your favorite melted chips. Milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, bittersweet chocolate chips and even white chocolate chips will all add a layer of sweetness and texture to the cookies.
The choice is yours. I did a combination of semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips and I love how the contrast of the two chocolates look together.
Actually, if you know me well, you know that I’m a Libra and have difficulty making decisions (a typical Libra trait).
So I couldn’t decide on only one type of chocolate chip and ended up using two kinds.
Sorry not sorry, because they look great together.

Cookies For Kids Fundraiser
I’m so excited to participate in this Valentine’s event again. This is the sixth year for our event and we want to continue to make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Cancer is the #1 cause of death of children by disease in the U.S. There are 40,000 U.S. children actively battling cancer right now. The National Cancer Institute’s budget for childhood cancer is less than 4%. It’s such a small number and that’s why I got involved.
And with the ongoing pandemic, children are still being diagnosed with cancer. It’s imperative that we raise awareness and continue to raise funds to fund the ongoing pediatric cancer research!
Help us make a difference by donating to Cookies for Kids' Cancer!
Our goal is to raise at least $3000. Because these three companies: OXO, Mediavine amd Dixie Crystals have each pledged to match our donations raised through this campaign up to $3000! That means when we raise $1, it turns into $4!
Thank you to so many of you who have already donated, please help us reach our goal so we can get the full matching donations and help us make an even huge difference!
