Swirls of Flavor Pro Tips
- Don’t steep the tea bags longer than 5 minutes or the tea will tend to become bitter
- Add fresh berries, such as raspberries or blackberries to the pitcher of iced tea
- You can easily double this recipe to serve a crowd
- Garnish with mint leaves
Substitutions
- Don’t have homemade strawberry simple syrup on hand? You can substitute a store bought strawberry syrup.
- Use frozen strawberries instead of ice cubes to chill the sweet tea. Frozen strawberries won’t dilute the tea like ice cubes will.
- Make this recipe with decaf tea bags in place of the tea bags
- I used black tea teabags but you can substitute green tea teabags if you prefer strawberry green tea, which will be a milder iced tea
