Strawberry Sweet Tea Recipe

Summer just got delicious and refreshing with a pitcher of homemade Strawberry Sweet Tea. Made with a strawberry simple syrup, this iced tea is bursting with fresh strawberry flavor.

Instructions

  • In a large measuring cup, combine boiling water and sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and squeeze any liquid from them back into the tea mixture, then discard the tea bags.
  • Stir in the strawberry syrup.
  • Add ice to a pitcher, then add the cold water, tea mixture and strawberry slices.
  • Pour into glasses over additional ice and garnish with fresh mint, if desired.

Notes

Swirls of Flavor Recipe Tips
  • Don’t steep the tea bags longer than 5 minutes or the tea will tend to become bitter
  • Add fresh berries, such as raspberries or blackberries to the pitcher of iced tea
  • You can easily double this recipe to serve a crowd
  • Garnish with mint leaves
