How to make strawberry fudge recipe

- Line an 8-inch x 8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
- Remove the top and foil cover on the can of frosting and place the can in the microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until fully melted and smooth. Timing will vary based on the wattage of your microwave.
- Add the extract to the frosting and stir until blended.
- Place the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and repeat, microwaving in 30 second intervals, until melted and smooth, stirring after each interval.
- Place the pink candy melts in a separate microwave-safe bowl and microwave on 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and repeat, microwaving in 30 second intervals, until melted and smooth, stirring after each interval.
- Combine half of the melted frosting and the red candy melts and stir until blended.
- Combine the remaining half of the melted frosting with the pink candy melts and stir until blended.
- Pour some of the red color into the prepared pan and then some of the pink color into the pan, alternating colors, swirling with a toothpick and then tapping the pan to remove any air bubbles. Let set for about 5 minutes and repeat with any remaining red and pink colors, making a 2nd layer.
- Sprinkle the top of the fudge with valentine non-pareils.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
- Cut into 16 pieces.

- If you don’t have strawberry extract you can leave it out. The strawberry candy melts will give lots of fruity flavor.
- You can make this valentine fudge with other candy melt colors.
- Candy melts come in a variety of flavors.

- Stir in bits of freeze-dried strawberries for added flavor and texture
Substitutions
- You can substitute another flavor of candy melts and extract
- You can substitute vanilla frosting for the buttercream frosting
- You can use a can of strawberry frosting in place of the buttercream frosting
- Substitute white candy melts for the red candy melts and make a white and pink strawberry fudge
Storage
- Store the strawberry fudge, at room temperature, in an airtight container or wrap tightly in plastic wrap.
- You can layer the fudge using parchment paper or wax paper in between the layers.
- Putting fudge in the refrigerator is not recommended because typically it will dry it out.
