How to make apple chicken

- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a mixing bowl combine apples, onion, garlic cloves, butter, 1/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. marjoram, 1/4 tsp. kosher salt and cracked black pepper; reserve.
- Season chicken with remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. marjoram, 1/2 tsp. kosher salt and garlic powder.
- Place the chicken in a roasting pan and cook for 45 mnutes.
- Add the apple mixture to the roasting pan, arranging it around the chicken, and cook for an additional 45 minutes or until the chicken juices run clear
- Let the chicken rest about 10 minutes before slicing and serving

- Use your favorite baking apples to make this recipe
- Add chopped fresh ginger
- Add fresh rosemary sprigs or fresh thyme sprigs to the roasting pan
- Be sure to cook chicken until the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165F and check the temperature with a meat thermometer
