This recipe is an easy appetizer that you can even have on hand in the freezer for unexpected company, After rolling up the dough and filling, tightly wrap in plastic wrap and then in foil or a freezer bag. How to make pizza pinwheels recipe

- Preheat oven to 375F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl combine cream cheese, mozzarella, chopped pepperoni and basil until blended.
- On lightly floured surface, unroll crescent dough sheet and press any seams together. Top with pepperoni mixture, spreading evenly over dough.
- Sprinkle with Panko breadcrumbs.
- Beginning at the long side, roll up the dough.
- Using a serrated knife, or a sharp knife, cut into 16 slices.
- Arrange the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut sides up.
- Bake 15 minutes or until dough is golden and cheeses are melted.
