- You can mix and form the meatloaf ahead, cover it in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Then remove from the refrigerator, let stand at room temperature for about 30 minutes, remove plastic wrap and air fry as directed in the recipe.
Substitutions
- You can substitute ½ teaspoon garlic powder for the minced garlic
- If you prefer to use your favorite jarred bbq sauce you can use it in place of my homemade barbecue sauce
- Don’t have smoked paprika? You can use paprika in its place. It just won’t impart a smoky flavor but will still be delicious!
- Ground chicken or ground turkey can be used in place of the ground beef
Storage
- Wrap any leftover meatloaf either in plastic wrap or in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator.
- Meatloaf will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

How to make meatloaf in the oven
- Preheat your oven to 350 °.
- Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onions, egg, parsley, 1/4 cup barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, smoked paprika and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Press the meatloaf mixture into an 8-inch loaf pan.
- Bake 45 minutes then spoon the remaining 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
- Return the meatloaf to the oven and cook for another 15 minutes or until the internal temperature is 165F.
- Let the meatloaf stand for about 10 minutes then slice and enjoy!

- Preheat your air fryer to 350 °.
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onions, egg, parsley, ¼ cup barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, smoked paprika, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it on the rack in your air fryer
- Air fry the meatloaf for 20 minutes.
- Spoon the remaining ½ cup barbecue sauce over the meatloaf and air fry until the meatloaf is cooked through and a meat thermometer registers 165F, about 8-10 minutes.
- Let the meatloaf stand for about 10 minutes then slice and enjoy!
