Basil Pesto Butter Recipe
When summer arrives, fresh basil is plentiful at the farmers market, in your very own vegetable garden and even in the produce section of your grocery store. What better way to use all that fresh basil than to make up a batch of homemade pesto, if you want to make your own, and use it for our pesto butter recipe.
Here at Swirls we have several recipes for fresh pestos so you’ll have choices, if you want to make your own homemade pesto, for our basil butter. We have pesto made with the traditional basil, made with baby spinach, or with kale greens (my personal favorite!) and even with mint and spring peas and stay tuned for carrot top pesto coming soon!
Now, of course, you can make things easy on yourself and just hop on over to the grocery store and pick up some store bought pesto. If you do, I highly recommend purchasing the fresh refrigerated pesto in your grocer’s refrigerated section. But, yes, a jarred pesto will work just fine too.
Any way you make it, every bite of any food you add our seasoned butter to will be filled with buttery goodness and fresh basil, garlic and all the bright flavors of summer time.
Simple basil recipes are always the best and nothing is more simple than our Basil Pesto Butter recipe! And I know you will agree, it is the best!
