- In a small saucepot simmer soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, sesame oil and garlic over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until heated through.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine cornstarch and water, stirring until blended.
- Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the saucepot and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Boil for at least 1 minute or until the mixture has thickened.
- Remove from the heat and let the teriyaki sauce cool, then transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate.
Microwave Directions
- Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl, stirring until blended; set aside.
- Place the remaining ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and whisk together until blended.
- Microwave for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and stir.
