The candy coating lends a sweet taste and the salted pretzels make this a salty treat that will delight your tastebuds!
Simply melt white chocolate chips in the microwave, dip pretzels in the melted chocolate and then roll them in sugars that are the colors of Halloween.
You can use orange, green and black, as I did, or your own favorite Halloween colors.
Any combination of Halloween colors including using yellow, purple and white will look pretty too!
And then there’s always the option of rolling the pretzels in Halloween sprinkles. I did that too!
Yes, I went all out with these candy pretzels and lots of spooky colors! So much fun!
If the melted chocolate isn’t thin enough after you microwave it, you can add about a teaspoon of vegetable oil and stir to loosen it up. Then just dip and roll!
You can surprise the kids with these sweet treats or they can even help you to make them.
It will be so much fun for kids to create their own designs.
Another idea is to press on candy eyeballs too! Here’s looking at you!
Or just dip the pretzels in the melted chocolate, add candy eyes and a small black circle, either out of gel frosting or a sprinkle, for the mouth and you will have ghost pretzels!
These homemade treats make a great little edible gift or trick or treat idea when you wrap them in cellophane bags and tie them with a pretty ribbon!
So go ahead and get in the spooky Halloween spirit and whip up some Halloween White Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

Swirls of Flavor Recipe Tips
- If the melted chocolate is too thick just add about a teaspoon of vegetable oil and stir
- If the melted chocolate hardens up just pop it back in the microwave and heat up on half power
- Be sure not to overheat the chocolate because it will seize up and harden
- Always use half power when melting chocolate in the microwave
- Use your favorite combination of colored sugars
- Add sugar eyeballs to your design
- Roll the pretzels in a combination of colored sugars with sprinkles
- Make them red, white and blue for July 4th
- Make them red and green for Christmas

Substitutions
- Substitute semi-sweet chocolate for the white chocolate
- Substitute milk chocolate for white chocolate
- You can substitute regular pretzels for the pretzel rods and just press the pretzels into the colored sugars or sprinkles instead of rolling
Storage
- Store the white chocolate pretzels rods in a food storage bag and seal, an airtight container or wrap in plastic wrap.
- Pretzels will last for 2-3 days.
- As always, I find it helpful to visit the FDA website for food storage guidelines
