Creamy Almond Pesto Dip
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted
4 cups packed fresh basil leaves, 4 ounces
1 clove garlic
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest
2 Tbs. extra virgin olive oil
1. In food processor, puree almonds, basil leaves and garlic until finely chopped and almost smooth.
2. Add cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, Kosher salt and lemon zest. Process until smooth.
3. Transfer to serving dish. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and serve with your favorite dippers!
Makes 3 1/2 cups.

I adore your idea of an almond pesto, who says that pesto must be made of those tiny expensive pine nut things!
Most meals could be made easier with a food processor, especially this time of year when there are larger dinners for visiting relatives. Just about every ingredient in our dressing comes out of the food processor.
This sounds like and awesome dip! I love Pesto and you can't beat homemade pesto!
