Strawberry Simple Syrup Recipe

Make your own homemade Strawberry Simple Syrup in just minutes. With just three ingredients you’ll have a flavorful strawberry syrup to add to coffee, tea, water, cocktails, milk and even maple syrup. Delicious over ice cream and fruit salads too.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces (1 quart) fresh strawberries trimmed and sliced, about 3 cups sliced
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepot bring strawberries, water and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until the sugar has dissolved and the strawberries have softened, about 10 minutes
  • Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  • Strain the syrup mixture through a fine mesh strainer gently pressing the strawberries to release all of thier juices. Discard the pressed strawberries.
  • Transfer the fruit syrup to a mason jar or glass container. Seal and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.

Notes

This recipe makes 3 cups of simple syrup, 12 servings.
One serving is 1/4 cup.
