Easy Gluten Free Quinoa Gravy

Our Easy Gluten Free Quinoa Gravy recipe is made with quinoa flour, broth, seasonings and drippings from your roasted beef, chicken or turkey. An easy recipe to make and a delicious quinoa flour gravy!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups chicken broth vegetable broth or beef broth
  • 1/4 cup quinoa flour
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup drippings from roasted turkey beef, or chicken

Instructions

  • Whisk broth, quinoa flour, garlic powder and pepper until smooth.
  • Stir in drippings and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Simmer until hot and thickened.

Notes

Makes about 3 1/2 cups gravy.
Swirls of Flavor Recipe Tips
  • Add ¼ cup white wine when making your gravy
  • Stir in chopped fresh parsley
  • Stir in chopped fresh sage leaves
  • Add 1/2 cup drippings from your roasting pan. If you have less than 1/2 cup in your roasting pan then just add however much you have. The drippings are what gives this gravy it's depth of flavor!
Make Ahead Gravy
  • Prepare recipe without the drippings
  • Add drippings once  your turkey is done and cook until heated through
Substitutions
  • Substitute beef broth for the chicken broth when serving with roasted beef
  • Substitute vegetable broth for the chicken broth, and leave out the turkey drippings, to make it a vegetarian gravy
  • Substitute your favorite gluten free flour for the quinoa flour
Variations
  • Saute chopped onions and mushrooms in butter as your first step then follow the remaining recipe for a mushroom gravy
  • Saute chopped leeks in butter as your first step for a leek gravy
  • Stir in a grainy mustard for added flavor
  • Stir in a combination of chopped fresh herbs for a herb gravy
