In a cocktail shaker or a tall glass, muddle the mint leaves and sugar together. This will release the mint flavor and combine it with the sweetness of the sugar.
Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the cocktail shaker or glass. Stir or shake well to dissolve the sugar and mix the flavors.
Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemon mint mixture over the ice, dividing evenly between the two glasses.
Top with lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
Garnish the mocktail with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint and serve. Cheers!
Substitutions
- For a more classic mojito flavor, use lime juice in place of the lemon juice
- Sparkling water can be used instead of lemon-lime soda
- Flavored seltzer can also be used in place of lemon-lime soda
- Granulated sugar can take the place of the superfine sugar although superfine sugar will dissolve easier than granulated sugar
