- 1 piece (2-inches long ) fresh ginger with the peel on , thinly sliced
- 2 cups water
- 2 Lemon slices
In a small saucepot, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced ginger and lemon and cover.
Remove from the heat and let steep for 10 minutes. For a stronger tea, steep an additional 5-10 minutes.
Strain the ginger and lemon pieces and discard.
Serve with additional lemon slices and a sweetener, if desired.
