Remove the kale leaves from the stems and cut or tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.You should have about 4 cups of kale pieces.
Rinse the kale leaves to remove any grit or dirt. Dry completely using a salad spinner or paper towel.
Place the kale pieces in a large bowl and toss with olive oil.
Using your fingers, massage the oil into the leaves so that each piece of kale is evenly coated with oil.
Sprinkle with kosher salt.
Arrange the kale in a single layer in the air fryer basket and place a wire rack over the kale pieces to prevent them from flying during cooking. Depending on the size of your air fryer you may need to cook in batches.
