Ingredients

  • 12 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 Tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker or a tall glass, muddle the mint leaves and sugar together. This will release the mint flavor and combine it with the sweetness of the sugar.
  • Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the cocktail shaker or glass. Stir or shake well to dissolve the sugar and mix the flavors.
  • Fill two glasses with ice cubes and pour the lemon mint mixture over the ice, dividing evenly between the two glasses.
  • Top with lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  • Garnish the mocktail with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint and serve. Cheers!

Notes

Substitutions
  • For a more classic mojito flavor, use lime juice in place of the lemon juice
  • Sparkling water can be used instead of lemon-lime soda
  • Flavored seltzer can also be used in place of lemon-lime soda
  • Granulated sugar can take the place of the superfine sugar although superfine sugar will dissolve easier than granulated sugar
