Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped, 1 cup
  • 1 onion, chopped, 1 cup
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped, 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup parsley leaves
  • 2 lbs. organic grass-fed chicken or beef bones
  • 3 quarts filtered water
  • 3 Tbs. organic apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Arrange carrots, onion, celery and parsley in the bottom of your slow cooker. Top with chicken or beef bones.
  • Add water to cover bones. Add vinegar. Let stand 30-60 minutes. This allows the vinegar to draw out the minerals from the bones.
  • Cook on low 18-24 hours.
  • Place a colander in a large bowl or another pot and drain and reserve broth. Discard vegetables and bones. If there is any meat on the bones you can shred it and use it in your broth.

Notes

Makes about 12 cups broth.
