  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces ) yellow
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter , melted
  • whipped cream , optional
  • vanilla ice cream , optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with melted butter or nonstick cooking spray.
  • Spread the cherry pie filling in the prepared baking dish.
  • Top with the dry cake mix, evenly covering the pie filling. Do not stir the cake mix.
  • Drizzle with the melted butter.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of ice cream or top with whipped cream!
