- 1 package (10 shells) flat bottomed taco shells
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon sugar
- 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
- 4 cups nondairy whipped topping thawed
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Preheat oven to 350F.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and cinnamon sugar. Brush the sides of the taco shells with the butter mixture.
Arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 5 minutes until the shells are warm and crispy.
Meanwhile, place the apple pie filling in a microwave safe bowl. Chop the apple slices into small bite size pieces, if desired. Thenmicrowave the apple pie filling until heated through, about 3 minutes.
Spoon the apple pie filling into the warm taco shells, dividing evenly between the shells, about ¼ cup per taco shell.
Top with whipped topping and drizzle with caramel sauce.
