Melt the butter in a medium saucepot over medium heat.
Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, kosher salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the flour and whisk until a paste forms.
Slowly pour in the broth, whisking constantly until smooth and blended.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat and boil for 1 minute until the sauce thickens.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, and cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth, whisking occasionally.
Serve with pasta, wings, fries and more!
This recipe makes 2 1/4 cups of sauce; about 1/4 cup per serving.
Recipe Tips
- Be sure to use a whisk when making this sauce so that all of the ingredients blend evenly.
- To save time, you can use jarred minced garlic
- For a slightly thinner sauce, increase the heavy cream to 1 cup
- I do not recommend using garlic powder in this recipe. Fresh garlic will give you the best flavor.
- For a hint of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes!
