Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepot over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, kosher salt and pepper and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the flour and whisk until a paste forms.
  • Slowly pour in the broth, whisking constantly until smooth and blended.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat and boil for 1 minute until the sauce thickens.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low, add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese, and cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth, whisking occasionally.
  • Serve with pasta, wings, fries and more!

Notes

This recipe makes 2 1/4 cups of sauce; about 1/4 cup per serving.
Recipe Tips
  • Be sure to use a whisk when making this sauce so that all of the ingredients blend evenly.
  • To save time, you can use jarred minced garlic
  • For a slightly thinner sauce, increase the heavy cream to 1 cup
  • I do not recommend using garlic powder in this recipe. Fresh garlic will give you the best flavor.
  • For a hint of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes!
