Get Recipe Ingredients
Combine packed brown sugar and water in a small saucepot.
Simmer over medium heat until the brown sugar has dissolved.
Remove from the heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
Transfer your homemade brown sugar syrup to a glass container, such as a mason jar.
Refrigerate, covered, for up to 2-3 weeks.

Substitutions
