Ingredients

Instructions

  • Combine yogurt, cucumber, red onion, dill, garlic, lemon juice, kosher salt and pepper.
  • Stir until blended.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Serve with your favorite vegetable dippers, tossed with lettuce, on a sandwich or over grilled chicken, beef or seafood.

Recipe makes 1 ¼ cups sauce
Swirls of Flavor Recipe Tips
  • For a smoother sauce, grate the cucumber instead of finely mincing it
  • Add chopped fresh mint for extra herb flavor
  • Add a bit of olive oil and use as a tzatziki salad dressing
  • Reduce garlic to one clove, if desired
 
Substitutions
  • Substitute sour cream for the Greek yogurt
  • Use garlic powder in place of fresh garlic
