Chicken Gyros Recipe
Marinated chicken surrounded with a creamy Tzatziki Sauce, red onion, cucumber slices and lettuce all wrapped up in warm pita bread. Yes, please!
Whisk olive oil, vinegar, oregano, basil, garlic powder and kosher salt until blended.
Combine marinade and chicken in a plastic food storage bag and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Preheat grill for direct heat grilling.
Remove chicken from marinade and discard marinade.
Grill chicken until juices run clear, turning once. Let chicken rest 5 minutes, then slice.
To assemble gyros, top pita breads with sliced chicken, red onion, lettuce and Tzatziki sauce then fold.
