Creamy Garlic-Infused Mashed Potatoes is an easy recipe that’s perfect for holiday menus. Buttery Yukon Gold potatoes cook together with cloves of garlic then are mashed with butter and cream cheese creating creamy garlic potatoes that are bursting with flavor.

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs. Yukon Gold potatoes , peeled and cut in chunks
  • 6 cloves garlic , peeled and rough chopped in large pieces
  • 4 ounces cream cheese , softened
  • 4 Tbs. butter , melted
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
Instructions
  1. Fill pot with potatoes, garlic and enough cold water to cover by 1-inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil 20 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the potato water.
  2. Mash potato mixture with reserved potato water. Add cream cheese, butter, kosher salt and pepper. Continue mashing until smooth and creamy.
  3. Transfer to serving dish and top with additional melted butter, if desired.
Recipe Notes

Makes 6 cups/12 servings. Prefer more that 1/2 cup of mashed poatoes per serving? This recipe will make 8 servings of 3/4 cup per serving.

Make Ahead Directions: Mashed potatoes can be made ahead and reheated in the oven in an oven-safe baking dish. Just top with dabs of additional butter, cover with foil and reheat!

Even easier, just reheat in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave!
