Caprese Burgers

Caprese Burgers is an easy recipe for ground beef patties seasoned with sundried tomatoes and fresh basil. Grilled to perfection and topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, our hamburgers are sure to be a family favorite this grilling season!

  • Preheat grill for direct heat grilling.
  • In bowl combine ground beef, sundried tomatoes, chopped basil leaves, garlic powder, kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Grill, turning once and topping with mozzarella during last 2 minutes of grilling time. Grill until cooked through or until meat thermometer reads 165F.
  • Serve burgers on buns and top with tomato slices, fresh basil leaves and drizzle of balsamic glaze. Serve with additional balsamic glaze if desired.

Notes

*Balsamic glaze is available in most grocery stores. If you cannot find it you can make a simple Balsamic Vinaigrette concentrate to use as the drizzle. Just combine 2 Tbs. olive oil, 2 Tbs. balsamic vinegar, 2 tsp. Dijon mustard and 1/2 tsp. sugar until blended and serve with your burgers!
