Cheesy Pepperoni Pinwheel Appetizers

- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese , at room temperature
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices ,chopped
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls dough
- 1/4 cup seasoned Panko breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 375F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
In bowl combine cream cheese, mozzarella, chopped pepperoni and basil until blended.
On lightly floured surface, unroll crescent dough sheet and press any seams together. Top with pepperoni mixture, spreading evenly over dough. Sprinkle with Panko breadcrumbs.
Beginning at long side, roll up dough. Using a serrated knife, or a sharp knife, cut into 16 slices. Arrange the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, cut sides up.
Bake 15 minutes or until dough is golden and cheeses are melted.
