Chopped BLT Salad with Creamy Dill Dressing

The BLT Sandwich, an all-American classic, is transformed into a salad. All the flavors of a BLT, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes in my homemade mayonnaise salad dressing, are in every bite of this refreshing chopped salad.

Ingredients

Creamy Dill Salad Dressing

Salad

  • 6 cups chopped lettuce
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon or bacon bits

Instructions

Creamy Dill Salad Dressing

  • In small bowl combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, dill, vinegar, garlic powder and kosher salt. Stir until blended.

Salad

  • In large serving bowl toss chopped lettuce, tomatoes, bacon bits and half of salad dressing until evenly coated. Serve with remaining salad dressing.

Notes

Makes 6 cups tossed salad.
Yield: 1 cup salad dressing.
