Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread is an easy recipe for a flavorful quick bread. Pumpkin spice and pumpkin puree combine to give a moist cake-like bread bursting with the warm seasonal flavor of pumpkin spice and studded with chunks of chocolate.
In bowl combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla, stirring until smooth and blended.
Stir in flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda and salt until a batter forms.
Add pumpkin puree and stir until combined.
Stir in chocolate chunks. you can also save some of the chocolate and sprinkle it on top of the batter before baking.
Transfer batter to prepared loaf pan and bake 1 hour. Tent with foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 20 minutes in pan on wire rack. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.

Combine milk chocolate chips, semi chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips

Make without any chocolate chips for a plain pumpkin loaf
Be sure that your butter is soft at room temperature for easy stirring
It is important for the pumpkin bread to rest in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. If you take it out of the pan too soon it will fall apart!
