Enter fall, enter pumpkin season and enter pumpkin quick bread, one of my favorite fall treats!
Once a new season arrives I become fully vested in it.

Our spiced pumpkin bread combines the two flavors of pumpkin and chocolate in every bite.

This is a quick bread recipe so it is so easy to make. Just combine the ingredients in a bowl and stir until blended. No mixer needed, just your wooden spoon!

How to make pumpkin bread

- Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9-inch x 5-inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla, stirring until blended.
- Stir in flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, baking soda and salt until a batter forms.
- Add pumpkin puree and stir until combined.
- Stir in chocolate chunks. You can save some of the chocolate to sprinkle on top too.
- Transfer batter to prepared loaf pan and bake 1 hour. Tent with foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool for 20 minutes in the pan on a wire rack.
- Remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.

- Combine milk chocolate chips, semi chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips
- Make this pumpkin bread with white chocolate chips
- Leave out the chocolate chunks and bake a plain pumpkin loaf
- Be sure that your butter is soft at room temperature for easy stirring
- It is important for the pumpkin bread to rest in the pan for 20 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. If you take it out of the pan too soon it will fall apart!
- You can bake several mini loaves from this recipe
